I would guess he didn't want to pay for the Evans product and it didn't have anything to do with the need to flush. Also by the time you finish the installation and install the heater I would think everyone would drain the cooling system at least once and with the cheap stuff you don't have to be as careful about spills. We are draining ours for the first time this next weekend. That all makes perfect sense. Thanks.
