One thing that those using Evans Coolant should do for the group is (when they tear down their engine) inspect the area around the spark plugs. "List wisdom" used to be that the area around the plugs needed to be grooved for the continuous high power output required for aviation/racing use. This was because there was a perceived 'need' to increase the heat transfer in those areas. this was with EG/water mixture which could support nucleate boiling.

With the Evans PG coolant, and the decreased heat transfer capabilites, lack of nucleate boiling, there *may* be a latent problem with that area of the housing getting hotter than optimum. We won't know until someone runs and engine and eventually tears it down for inspection.

Rusty; can you quantify this statement:

How much more does it cost?

Over here, it's about $20/gallon plus shipping, which is considerably more than normal antifreeze, and waaaaay more than distilled water.  For cost estimates, you'd be better off to look this up from a local supplier, or contact Evan's about price and shipping down under.

What percentage poorer, is it in heat removal efficiency

There was some percentage given for heat transfer compared to water, but I don't recall what it was.  Evan's claims that the lack of hot spot boiling will actually make Evan's more efficient than it would otherwise seem.  Basically, you won't know until you try, and even then, you may not know.

Dave and I both installed it at the same time we made significant changes to the cooling system, so neither of us can say exactly what effect it had.  Hopefully, someone will install it without changing anything else, and let us know.

Cheers,
Rusty
