The RX8 rotor does in fact hold more oil than it's predecessors, as one = expects from the Mazda blurb - between an old rotor( sorry don't know = what it is) and the RX8 rotor, there is a 5.26 oz difference. Now that should aid in cooling, however it does increase the weight in = the RX8 by that amount for balance purposes. It could be that they all = vary slightly. The oil capacity and therefore weigh is well in excess of my = expectations and well in excess of what I had been advised - so much for = the paid professionals.
