Odd, never heard of 4 nuts inside - unless an input shaft thrust bearing retrofit. Or is it a 1:2.85 grear ratio - not familiar with those.

The permatex between cone and bellhousing can be quite strong. I have used a deadblow hammer to make it give (gently - and make sure doesn't move too far to the side). Another option would be to use a 2x4 as a lever against back of prop flange (against a a short lenght 2x4 against bellhousing rim).
The trick is to control movement - you want to just break the bond but not enough to damage gears and bearings by too much movement from side to side. Once the bond is broken lift it straight out!
