Kelly,
I'm guessing that once the engine has started it can be stopped and the old
plugs reused - or are they stuffed!

The only mechanism I can see for this is that a film of carbon bearing
'stuff' is left on the ceramic part of the plug. I know an old guy that
has always baked bad plugs to get more life out of them. I mean that
literally. He would bake them at 350 for about an hour in his kitchen
oven. No, I would never eat at his house (this being only one of many
reasons). Has anyone tried baking the plugs do possibly drive off any
possibility of a film?
