Isn't Ken Welter's NOS add in idea for take off a lot easier, lighter and more simple, for those of us that need simple, of course ?
Maybe not, Jesse. From the site that Rusty posted, the electric booster is only around 3lbs and is just clamped inline with with the intake. If there is room for one under the cowl, it may be as simple as the air pump and a relay. It could be complicated if you wanted to add circuitry to deduce that you're taking a little too much from the battery, or some kind of time limiting circuit. You'd lose the weight of a NOS bottle and control valves (have no idea what the weight on all that is), but you'd also loose that little pressure gauge that tells you how much 'oomph' you have in reserve.
