Joe,
You asked if I'd dealt with
gmpartsdirect. Yes, about a year ago and it was for the coil
harness. I ordered it online and received it in about 3-4 days. I
don't remember what the shipping was, and this was a concern Dale brought up,
making them less competitive. They combine shipping for more than one
part, so if you're buying many parts it can save money.
They sell actual GM parts, not counterfeit,
as you can tell by the packaging. I thought it was a good deal and would
buy through them again. Local comparison shopping may offer a better deal,
for example, I found the LS1 coils at Autozone for $35, so bought them
there.
Chris Sargent
Chris,
Have you actually dealt with GMPartsDirect?
Thanks,
Joe

Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: LS-1 Coils and
harness information
I just received my coils and wiring harness from Brasington
Cadillac-Saab located in Gainsville, FL. After price shopping and trying
to get my local dealer to match on-line prices I went with them and think I
came out okay. Some of the part numbers have changed from previous posts
so here are the latest numbers and what it cost for any in the market for
these items...
(4) LS-1 coils; #12558948
$39.02
ea.
$156.08
(1) wire
harness #12582190 $52.58
52.58
(1) wire harness
#12102754 $32.60
32.60
(1) Bracket
#12563288 $
9.29 9.29
Shipping
8.50
Total $259.05
The
bracket will hold four coils as you find on the Vettes which I hope will make
the installation easier.
