Finn, yep I realize there is still voltage on the fat wire since it hooked directly to battery which is showing 12.3 volts when you disconnect the little line from the battery to the alt plug. But there is no current flow which says to me the alternator is not producing anything , right.

Did not comprehend all Charlie said about frying electronics with over voltage, but hope I do before leaving Slobvovia ON this week end.
