The only proselytizing that will work is the success of our
installations.  I am not interested in "convincing" anyone that they
should use a rotary engine.  If someone is  curious about alternate
power plants, they will find the rotary and research it for themselves.
Easy to do in this era.    If they ask  about MY engine, they will
find me very willing to talk.      Jerry
I believe the rotary engine is so far superior to piston engines for any application, but especially aircraft, that I do intend to convince anyone who will listen of the many advantages. An organized rotary association will help make this technology acceptable to builders who have little in common with the pioneers who started the EAA. Jerry, you and many others of this list, who decry authority, are true homebuilders; you understand the meaning of "scratch built." The average 21st century EAA member is a "kit builder" not an experimental craftsman. They want proven packages and a professional rotary association can give this movement credibility while it introduces the kit builders to a safer way. Once the rotary achieves commonality in installation it will likely be the first engine of choice. This list is working for that commonality - an association could share that accomplishment with others in a way that individuals could not.
