Hi, Marv.
I must admit to being comforted by the many email of condolences and praise for my Paul. I must admit, too, to missing the pooling of ideas on you site, but they will now be meaningless without being able to share them with Paul.
I would appreciate if you would pass on to me the personal messages. There is a very large hole without Paul but it is a great comfort to know that his presence will continue to be felt by so many.
Someone in a message said to me that he his new wings now and it is true.
Thank you for all you help.
Please fly safely.
Carol Conner

Subject: Re: Paul's passing
Hello Carol,
I'm Marv, the owner/operator of the FlyRotary email list. I am so terribly sorry to hear of Paul's passing that I cannot begin to assemble words that adequately express my condolences and the deep sympathy I would like to offer to you and your family. Even though I have never met Paul in person, after years of his sharing his successes and failures with all of us on the FlyRotary list I feel like meeting up personally was only a formality that we hadn't gotten around to.
I have taken the liberty of removing Paul's subscription from the FlyRotary list, thinking that you probably would rather not be inundated with emails from the group, although in retrospect, I probably should have asked your permission first. If you would like me to setup a new subscription for you so you could continue to hear from all of Paul's friends on the FlyRotary list I will be more than happy to do so... just say the word and I will make it happen. If, on the other hand, you would rather correspond with the FlyRotary group for any reason at all but would rather not receive any emails from the list, I can make that happen as well. Paul had a large circle of friends at FlyRotary and I know that I am not speaking out of school when I say that we all would be honored to do whatever we can for you and your family during these most trying of times.
Once again, I am terribly sorry to learn of your loss and I share your grief. If there is anything at all that I can do to help you as regards the group at FlyRotary all you need do is ask.
Sincerely,
<Marv Kaye>

Hi, Charlie.
I'm afraid Paul and I will not be joining everyone at the seminar. Paul
crashed yesterday afternoon and am told he died instantly. Our plane was
doing so well...but for some reason the engine quit on takeoff at St. Elmos.
Please, everyone, fly safely.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone. I think that we are now up to 5 spouses so the non-rotary activities might be bigger than the rotary activites.
So far, we have Ed A. with a presentation on duct design & construction, Ed K. will talk one-on-one with you about his radiators, etc., Bernie will be here to talk about performance of his new RV-9A, & Bill Eslick will try to make it to talk about his experiences with his rotary powered RV-6. I'm sure that Paul C. will have some experiences to share about his SQ2000 as well. Anyone else have anything to share?
If you hope to attend, please drop me a line either on the list or privately so we can get a rough head count. This isn't a 'commitment' list; I just want to be sure no one goes hungry. :-)
Thanks,
Charlie
