The slot is a little restrictive and may require a experienced Tig welder to do the job - without flaws. A local chap used to Tig weld tips on Turbine blades, so he would be good for this application - however with welding and then regrooving the costs are getting up there. I believe the cheapest you would get the slots recut would be about $50 a slot ( remembering this is precision work) - that's $300 for two rotors and then their's the welding costs.
