I found a local glass shop in the Austin area that is making RV fairings and F1 Rocket parts. Extreme Composites. I spoke with the owner Jim this morning and he is willing to work with us to develop a RV10 cowl. The RV10 engine mount is being made in house by Vans. I will try to purchase an engine mount frame without the lyc hardware next week when Darrel returns from SNF. I have planned to build a FWF mockup on a trailer for fitting and engine testing before final install in the aircraft. So...... I would be able to take the mockup to his shop for proper fitting. The engine mount will be designed to use Custom Concepts mounting plate. Fred will be designing the mount so he will have one for both the 13 and 20B's with correct CG. The cowl could be made long enough to use with the 13B and could be trimmed to fit a 20B installation. The Renesis will have to be moved forward between 2 and 4 inches in the RV10 with dual batteries on the firewall.

I also have an email into James Aircraft to see if the front half of their RV6 rotary cowl could be mated to the back half of the new RV10 Lyc cowl them are making. They needed five order for a new design so this might be a viable alternative to a complete new cowl.
