I am not positive, but I was under the impression that all of the = filters=20 had bypass valves of some sort to prevent damage.

I was=20 thinking that too.  In fact, I think it's harder to get a filter = without=20 the bypass.   I made a note to take a look at one of = the=20 filters, and it may be pretty obvious whether it has a bypass. =20

By the way, your remote mount oil = filter..=20 are you using a racing beat remote mount, or something from summit = racing? or=20 did you fabricate a remote mount out of the stock filter "pedestal"=20 ?

My remote=20 mount is using the stock filter "pedestal", and a stock 3rd gen = filter=20 (because they're short, made for high pressure, and I still have a bag = of=20 them).

I'm still=20 debating this whole air filter thing too (the reason for = considering this=20 oil filter plumbing change).  I think I've identified a way to = install a=20 reasonably sized cone shaped air filter, but just haven't decided if = it's=20 worth it.  What I really need to do if prove whether I'm really = only=20 getting 27" MAP at WOT.
