Problem is I put anywhere from 800 to 2000 miles a week on the car. Driving in sunny FL, even on the interstate system, isn't quite as bad as driving in a coal mine, but with all the construction going on, it is a lot like dirt track driving. The K&N literature recommends servicing the air filter (wash and apply new "filter oil") at least every 50k miles.... if I did that down here I'm afraid I'd collapse the air box . I'll be servicing it at every other oil change, at least until they finish expanding all these roads down here (looks like I'll be doing it forever).
