Georges,
Thrust lines are not set in cement!
The thrust line MAY be better lowered, indeed if it's off-setting some draggy undercarriage.
3 to 4" would be the limit I believe, if the thrust line is already set high.
Usually they are set high for the flat certified engines.
This is only my opinion however and should be checked with the designer of the aircraft.

Hi! Group
Re: Copyright, His Ryno Drawings are all over the Web, I haven't seen one that has the statement " copyright" attached!!
Can anyone give me an opinion on this? The thrust line of the engine in relation to the thrust line on the airplane plans. The thrust line on Mk IV is 8" below the front edge of the cowl I would like to drop the engine 2" to 3"? What would the effect be? Thanks.
Georges.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Sounds like someone is getting touchy...

Apparently the operator of another rotary engine list, one that deals
with a lot of "rhino" drawings and theory,  is upset that some of his
drawings have been circulated on this or other lists...   and is
exerting his copyrights..

He goes on to state "everything you see here is copyrighted". I can
understand that may apply to stuff HE contributes.. but what if its text
or intellectual property submitted by another (such as his subscribers?)...

bull? legit? opinions?

Dave
