Both rotor housings had coolant inside the combustion
chambers but I'm not sure why as the intake and exhaust (the heavy oem
one) manifolds were on.

You're welcome Jeff.  Are you sure it was coolant?  Maybe red coolant (propylene glycol)?  Sometimes apex seals get stuck with the engine sits for a while, and there are various fixes that include pouring something (usually automatic trans fluid) in the housings to let the seals soak.  I've never heard of anyone using coolant for this, but you never know.

Bruce Turrentine tried REAL hard to get me to use 9.4 rotors, rather than insisting on 9.7's.  Most everyone on this side of the ocean things there wouldn't be much difference, but Leon says it does make a significant difference.  Even with those odds, it's hard to bet against Leon.  Figure you might lose 5-10 HP as a wild guess.  You can make it up with good porting.

Good luck,
Rusty (have I mentioned recently that I hate fiberglass)
