Tom does very nice work. His welding hood has magnifying lens and he welds barehanded. Well, that impresses me at least. =20 =20 Looks a little better than mine, but so far mine hasn't broken :-) =20 Was this TIG welded? How does he keep his hand from getting that arc induced sunburn? Man, I played with my TIG welder for about 15 minutes when I first got it. I read all the warnings and such, and figured they only applied to people who did this hours a day. The only thing I took seriously was the eye protection. Of course I was in short pants, kneeling on the floor. Afterwards, I had the worst "sunburn" of my life. Lasted for about 2 weeks. I just welded an electric flap limit switch bracket a few minutes ago. It was a tiny job, but I put on the leather coat, gloves, helmet, lead cup , etc. Lesson learned.=20 =20 Cheers, Rusty=20 =20 PS- Tracy will catch up eventually.
