Get one that you don’t have to remove anything; simple cable operated lever.  NAPA, Balkamp part # BK 660-1140.  I don’t know what its application is; I just looked through their catalog until I found what I wanted.

Have you considered using a ’70 Mustang heater valve.  You would only need to remove the vacuum motor and connect a cable to the lever.  They’re available from many sources.
