George,
I will post a few pictures later this week. The impeller only looks
cheesy (to me) when comparing it to the Racemate impeller on their web
site.

Bob,
I was led to believe the RX8 had an improved water pump over the RX7 -
do you have any photo's of the RX 8 impeller and housing, for a look
see!
George (down under)
Bill,
Can you contact me off list? I put a call into Racemate last week about the water pump / alternator product. Mark Steitle was kind enough helped me disassemble my Renesis ( thanks Mark )a couple of weeks ago and indicated that the Renesis impeller was ....how did he say it....cheesy,,, junk...or something like that. Now I have a bad case of impeller envy. So far John B. has not contacted me. I was going to offer to send my water pump and housing to him if he was interested in offering an improved water pump for the Renesis. I do not see any point in both of us contacting him about his products. I am very interested in these products as well.

Mark, I talked to Racemate and they indicated that they would build crank pully alternator FOR THE ROTARY if there is enough interest.
Perhaps we should get together and contact them. They are priced reasonably for a custom alternator about $250. I would love to BUY this alternative. We have so much to do I don't want to make my own light bulbs!

Bill,
OK, now you've got my interest! A crank mounted alternator could make
a great backup power source. So, why can't we come up with a simple method of mounting a PM alternator, or 55 amp ND, on the end of the crankshaft? That shouldn't be too hard to do. (easy for me to say)
