Hi! Rusty
Thanks, I had the same opinion on Lamar after reading his
endless postings on theoretical stuff. I don't mind the theory on
the ground but not in the air. I like your point of view. Can
you tell me where to get a good street port template for a 6
port 13b?
Thank you.

[FlyRotary] Re: FW: slide throttle for 13B Rotary
I ordered the 2.85:1 drive, I was planning on
street porting but Paul Lamar pointed me in the P-port direction.
I was thinking of an Ivoprop 76" 3 blade to with a good
street port, I would like to get 200hp. I'm planing on using the
lower intake manifold with 15" extentions & I haven't decide
on slide throttle plate or?
Hi Georges,
You'll find that most folks on
this list are not Paul Lamar followers. He's got lots of
great theories, but he's never built a single rotary engine to my
knowledge. If you want to truly experiment, that's great,
but recognize that you WILL be blazing new trails, and likely
suffering some consequences along the way. If you want
something that's known to work, then copy what's known to
work.
Folks with fast planes tend to
have problems with drag from the IVO at high speeds (over 180 mph
or so), but they climb great. Sounds like it's probably
a good choice for your application though.
Cheers,
Rusty (aviating again
soon)
