Oh, yeah,
That reminds me of a third problem I have at the moment.
My poor old Clausing lathe was made before anyone in the US had thought of cutting metric threads.
Japanese filter threads are 20 x 1.5mm.
Ford => 3/4" x 16
GM => 13/16 x 16
I'm planning on using the Ford thread (simplifies logistics). If you want to use factory filters, then we need to be able to cut 20 x 1.5mm threads on one end of a piece of 13/16" alum. hex rod. Does your lathe do threads. Dale R.
(now you can get me back for ragging on you not buying "enough" lathe.)

Hi Ken,
My redrive oil comes from that spot now, so I know what you're talking
about. I guess you're going to filter the oil before it gets to that point,
and just connect the two holes at the filter mount? I'm hoping to end up
with some sort of "normal" filter, mounted on a custom block at the normal
filter location, but this custom block could also include an oil inlet from
the cooler. I just realized yesterday that I have a bag of filters for my
old (sold) FD. It will be nice if I can make those work.
