Rusty, I took the attached photo of my engine today. Unfortunately the engine is not on the airplane but on a stand and the strut is not hooked up. The engine is temporarily supported by a piece of square tubing slipped under the pan. I think you can get the idea of how the strut works however.  
 
 
Thanks for the extra pic Jerry.  I see how it works, but I can't say I'm convinced that I like it.  Gotta think about this some more.  I'm sure all the bases are covered, but it sure doesn't look as strong as Fred's mount to me.  I'm also hoping Mistral, or anyone will make a front cover that bolts to a standard Lycoming mount.  That would open up a world of possibilities for the rotary engine.
