The EM2 manual explains how to make your own thermocouples from
thermocouple wire. The EGT sensor I have came with a Westach
instrument, but basically it's just a thermocouple wire hooked to a
bolt (probe) which is held in the exhaust stream by a clamp around the
exhaust pipe with a hole for the bolt. I'm not sure where you could
put a second sensor in a turbo installation unless you drilled the
cast manifold. I added a second sensor on the turbo heat shield.

I have several EGT probes left over from the original Lycoming
installation.  You have to drill a hole in the exhaust pipe (I'm NA) and
the probe is held in place with what is esentially a hose clamp that
goes round the exhaust pipe. Is there any reason not to use these on the
rotary?
