Gentlemen, What is a monster prop,
please?
Yvon
Yvon,
I'm not sure
who came up with the nickname, but it refers to the huge prop that is needed for
the 2.85 ratio drive, when going from a 2.17 drive. I'm going from Tracy's
old 68" x 71" prop, to the new 74" x 88" prop, just like Tracy did.
Ed is going to a 76" diameter, because Tracy thought it would be slightly better
than 74, and his RV-6A will support the longer prop. Not going to be
much clearance with a 74" prop on the RV-3. Perhaps it will be the first
time I enjoy cutting the grass :-)
