Richard,
Tap it out with a pipe thread and put a pipe plug in it. It would be a good idea to remove the housing from the engine, first. 8)
Oh! And remember, pipe threads are _tapered_ - don't run the tap in too deep.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Thermostat Housing
We are planning on running our 13B without a water thermostat, and as I
understand it, the 1" hole below the thermostat (see attachment) should be
plugged. Is this true? If true, how?
Also I installed the water temp sensor as indicated in the attachment for
our EM2. Good location?
