Subject: [FlyRotary] RV-3 update
Greetings,
Today, I flew an hour of formation with an RV-8
buddy, just like we used to
do when I had my RV-8. Everything was perfect,
plenty of power to keep up,
and no EM-2 alarms. I also got to finally try my Anywhere Map WX
in-flight. It's pretty neat,
but the Ipaq display sucks. I've tried
everything, and now plan to probablybuy a new GPS for primary use. The Ipaq
will have to go off to the side
somewhere for WX use only. Anyone got any
experience with the Lorance
Airmap 1000 ?
Today puts me over 27 hours. I plan to have my 40
flown off by the middleof Sept, with the C drive. That should make
me good to go for the Evergreen
fly-in, and Tracy's get together. Cheers,
Rusty
Rusty, time to write a book, 'cause right now it can
have a happy ending 8*)
Finish it up before the C drive arrives, and you get
to have an automatic sequel.
I'll write the back cover for you:
He stood at the corner of the hanger. Backed up to
the wall. A bead of sweat slowly wending its way
down a pulsing temple. Dare he tempt the fates once
more? Deep within his soul, the revulsion, the
horror stirs once more. 'If I don't do it now, I'll
never be able to do it again', Rusty mutters to
himself. Digging deep for all the courage he ever
posessed, he gave a rebel yell and sprang around the
corners to once more stare down ...
THE BUC
(No need to actually give me credit. 8*)
