Rob, I used float type senders mounted into the BL50 rib, but the issue
is the same. I didn't need the space (span-wise), but (luckily) decided
to cut an access hole into the inboard BL50 rib. The hole is at least 3"
in diameter. Sure glad I did that, because after the first few flights I
noticed fuel stains on the left flap at BL50. Turned out that the fuel
sender attach nuts needed to be snugged up a tad - and I didn't have to
take the wing off to do it. Problem solved through the wheel well.
