I've just attached the outer wing panel of my fast-build kit in preparation
for bonding on the stub wing skin.  I noticed that there is a 5/8 inch gap
between the outer wing BL50 rib and the stub wing BL50 rib.  Unfortunately
the capacitance fuel probe top is about 3/4 inch thick.  Plus, I can't get to
the adjustment screws if they're butted up against the stub wing BL50 rib.

Can I cut the outer core off the outer wing BL50 rib and inset the probe top
a little?  (Leaving the inner layer of the rib intact, and recovering the
probe attachment plate with 2 BID...)  I would also want to cut two small
holes in the stub wing BL50 ribs to reach the screws.  I know some of you
guys have capacitance probes in your wings.  What did you do?

By the way, the alternative is to cut a great gaping hole (slightly bigger
than 3 inches) in the stub wing BL50 rib for clearance of the probe top.  I
assume that's the wrong thing to do.
