This is true, and I've gotten by so far with four lead shot bags from the gun
store at about $20 each. They have been invaluable for smaller projects and
also for placing on the engine mount when the engine is not installed to keep
the tail off the ground. Or on the tail when I want to swing the nosewheel.
Problem is, when I close out my wings and tail I'll need a lot more than just
four bags.
My wife has six cats and two dogs (yikes!). Plus three horses (yikes
again!). I was thinking of bags of kitty litter and possibly dog food and
horse grain. These are conformable to the curved surface, and while probably
not heavy enough, I have no problem putting bricks, books and old ADF's on
top of the bags to get the weight up.
My wife clutters up my shop with this crap anyways. I might as well put it
to good use!
