Re the panel mount compass question, I have the PAI 700 mounted in the LCIV

panel at the top of the panel, above the Garmin 340 which is above two
Garmin
430s.  To try to null out as much magnetic field as possible, I wrapped the

stack under the compass with mu metal, cutting holes in the sides for air
circulation.  The compass works fine.
