Here's what the books offered by the LML Bookstore taught me:

Micro can be used for bonding ribs prior to laminating. The laminates are the
structural part of the equation. You could use superglue or hot glue to tack the
ribs in place, then fillet with micro and laminate the part. The only time you
need a structural bond is when you won't have access later to laminate the
junction.

The only recommendation I can think of when using micro is to make neat fillets.
The micro will interfere with the secondary bond resulting in a weaker link. The
fillet is only there to spread out the stresses for the laminate -- a 90deg bend
will prevent a structure from achieving full strength.
