When I was building my LIV, I was surprised how flimsy the rear spar was
before we glued in into the wing.

I concluded at the time that the main function of the rear spar was to act as
a termination to keep the trailing edges of the wing surfaces together--the
added benefit of having a surface to attach some hinges was almost a
secondary consideration, since the hinge attach points were always beefed up
with lots of added bid layers.

This being said, if you cut a hole in the wrong place along this flimsy rear
web spar, simply add enough bid to more than make up for the thickness of the
original, and extend the bid 4-6 inches on each side of the void.   Fill the
void with epoxy flox then, and put a 2 bid on the opposite side.

I read your first thread without noticing that you said "rear" spar, and if
it had been the main spar as I thought, you would have a very serious
problem, indeed.

But, as it turns out, you have a simple problem--easily corrected, and once
you fix it, you should put it out of mind and sleep well at night.
