I am continually reminded that even though we have serious problems in this
country it is without a doubt the best country in the world.  One of the
factors which make this country great is our constitutional right that no
person is guilty of a crime until all due process is complied with and a
jury or judge determines such in a court of law.

I say all of this because I've been receiving over the last few days the
following hot link:

from several of our the lancair list folk concerning an aircraft engine
builder whose comments on this forum has created quite a flurry of opinions
and emotions.  While my opinion of this person is well documented here, it
is also my feeling that all people, no matter what the alleged crime or
indictment, should be considered innocent until proven guilty.

Rather than respond to all of those emailing me, let the above statements be
my official position on this matter.  OTOH, if the court finds in favor of
the federal prosecutor and monetary awards to the victims are part of the
judgment, I'll try not to refuse.
