I too am impressed with Super Fill. To that end, I experimented with it
on my boat. On my casting deck, I used about a 1/4 inch layer on a rough
area around a hole I rough cut too small. That is an understatement
to call the area a casting deck. It is a small boat and we do a lot of very
shallow water activities, such as gigging at night and poling/dragging the
boats through mud and rocks.
After 2 years of heavy abuse on unprotected and not finished very
well...The Super Fill has not cracked or shrunk (that I can tell). The
stuff is constantly exposed to salt water, Sun and "heavy" foot traffic.
And, occasionally fish slime. (on good days)
I would be suprised if rain, even at greater than 200 mph would hurt a
finished edge.
