> I have an older model L60 (60 amp)
ND alternator from Pelican Aviation with an LR3 Regulator from B&C. The
label on the alternator indicates that it has a built in regulator. <
I may be all wet but I believe that Pellican Aviation went out of business
some years ago. I sent my Pellican ND alternator into B&C and they took
care of me. Check with B&C, because they may be able to help get yours
working properly. B&C's alternator was based on the ND core.
Of course, we assume that you have checked that the belt is not slipping
under the larger loads. A 60 amp alternator takes nearly 2 HP from the
engine via the belt.
