It gets very hot during braking and can melt off or crack. I also know one builder here kinked his but caught it before it broke. As per the DH factory, the DH line is heat damaged above 150°C. I was also told it is designed for fixed applications. I think it would break if used them behind your peddles. I have a set to sell you cheap if you change your mind. You may want to see what the sky ranch, or Aeroquip is recommending nowadays for brake lines on aircraft. When I called Aeroquip ~2 years ago they were recommending the 666 series for everything from light aircraft to 747s. they seem very tough.
