On my plane I saved about 1.5 lbs. The difference between an aluminum and steel -4 nut and sleeve is about 10 grams. It adds up. Just like using MS21042 stopnuts instead of AN365s or aluminum AN washers instead of steel. DEL seals should only be used when you can't replace the line or fitting. They are a repair and should not ne "designed in".
