The only input that I can give you is this. Build time should be looked
at in several ways. If you are an experienced builder, then I believe
you can rely on the company's estimations. But, if you are like me and
have to learn about everything as you go, then you can't estimate how
long it will take. By learn as you go....I'm talking about reading the
AC43.13-1B to learn about aircraft standards, then actually learning how
to do the rest of the skills like fiberglass work, riveting, running
hydraulics, etc, etc. I estimate my time will be a lot longer simply
because I have a lot less experience than someone who has experience in
all the disciplines.
I'm building a 320/360 super fast build kit. A budget of 150k is wayyyy
over anything that I am going to spend. In fact, I could probably build
mine for half that cost. I have no idea if your budget is ok or not.
