Thought some of you might be interested in this message received from MT today...
"Dear Mr. Ames
The diameter for the MTV-12-B/175-59 is 68.89", not 70". Sorry for the
inconvenience.
The mounting bolts come with the propeller not with the engine. So as soon as
you purchase a prop you will get the appropriate bolts.
The downpayment we require before we order the propeller from Germany is 50%.
We also ship freight collect.
There is one more thing about the MTV-12-B/175-59. The blade design, which is
designated -59 is brandnew. The blades have scimitar tips and are probably
2-3 knots faster in cruise speed than the regular design. Although the
propeller is certified the blade design is not FAA approved yet. The
certification is in progress in Germany and the German authorities have to
approve it first. Then we can apply for the FAA certification. As long as it
is not certified you will have a TBO of 500 hours. You could also have the
previous design -17d which has a TBO of 1800 hours or 72 months and a
complete certification.
Please don't hesitate to call us for any further questions.
We appreciate your business.
Best regards,
Alex Kampf"
