Welding may not be a skill required to build any Lancair, but I can tell from
the amount of books purchased, that interest in the topic still exists.
With this in mind, I have recently found this new item.



FABRICATING SHOP EQUIPMENT
in the steel/welding section

This is NOT a book on how to weld, but a series of useful projects for those who
already do, or for those who want to engage in some productive practice while
learning. This book contains plans, step by step instructions, lots of photos,
and parts lists to build several pieces of useful shop equipment. These are
pieces that we are all going to need anyway at sometime during are projects.
They are:

1] Engine Hoist
2] Engine Stand
3] Rotating "Chassis" Stand  (useful for painting your fuselage & wings)
4] Sheet Metal Brake
5] and a couple of other items which you probably won't use on your Lancair
