Our very special guest speaker this year will be

Alan Zwick – telling us about his “15 minutes of fame” when he set the World Record in a U-2 (2000 kg payload to 66,925’) as well as a history of the U-2 program and a typical mission profile.

Alan has been a captain/check airman for Southwest Airlines based in Oakland, CA.  beginning with them in 2000.  His wife Allison is a Southwest flight attendant. After growing up on a farm near Lyons, KS Alan graduated with the US Air Force Academy Class of ’86.  He spent 14 years on Active Duty with the U.S. Air Force  flying the KC135R, T-37, U-2 and T-38.   He spent an additional 8 years with the Air Force Reserves as a U-2 staff officer retiring in 2008 as a Lieutenant Colonel.    He is an ATP, CFI, CFII, MEI with over 15,000 hours flight time.  He also owns and flies a Grumann Tiger.  

And, of course, the opportunity to visit with the stellar cast of Lancair pilots and their spouses/guests.

If you need transportation to the Best Western from the field,  notify us by either email, text or phone call BEFORE July 31 to c.colwell@lancairowners.com or (916) 712-1094.   Please be sure you receive an acknowledgement from us with instructions how to meet your ride. 

 Late rates of an additional $15.00 per person go into effect July 22, 2014. Due to our contractual obligations with the Hotel, we regret no refunds can be made after July 15, 2014.  NOTE:   We cannot accept credit cards the night of the banquet.  If you are a late arrival, you will have to pay by cash or check.   Tickets can be purchased at Oshkosh from Lisa at the Lancair booth prior to 3:00 PM date of the banquet.  Also – if you are a late arrival, you will need to arrange your own transportation.
