Bob,
Why not go down to the corner hardware store,
pick up some clear caulk and a roll of 3/4” masking tape. Tape the edges of the
gap, squeeze in a bead of caulk, run a wet finger down the bead (some folks like
to use an ice cube), wait a few minutes and pull the tape at a 45 degree angle
away from the gap. It’s quicker, cheaper, lighter, smoother and some might even
think that it looks better (I do). It’s easy to remove or cut when you
want to remove the wing.
