I am giving serious consideration to upgrading to the Garmin g3x on my LNC2. The Garmin autopilot is my concern. On paper everything looks great but personal experience with auto pilots makes me cautious particularly with the Lancair airframe. I started a thread a little while back on the topic of Garmin vs AFS for the efis and I think that has played out. I don't believe anybody weighed in on personal experience with the new Garmin servos and controls. I am used to the Garmin platform in Cessna products (in the form of the G1000) which is remarkably similar to the g3x and the primary reason I am looking to do the upgrade. So, if there is anybody out there flying with the g3x and integrated auto pilot, I would love to hear from you
