Jeff, agreed, results vary greatly.  As noted, I used "normal" braking (and that's just one variable).  On my airplane, it's very easy to lock the wheels, even with the flaps retracted and the nosewheel on the pavement.  I'm running 50psi in the mains, it's enough to keep the sides from bulging out much, but I wonder if braking would improve with lower inflation.  

My feeling is that in general, it's possible to get more acceleration than deceleration in a Legacy / 550 / 3blade on the runway.
