While re-torquing a fuel injector after cleaning it, it broke. We had not reached the torque point when it broke and looking at the two pieces it looks like it might have been cracked for a long time. Scary!!!
I am looking for a replacement from any of you guys who may have upgraded to GAMI injectors. I had .4 gph spread with my injectors so felt ok with what I have. Replacing this one may take me outside the range anyway, but it's worth trying to save $800.
I had an engine shop send me one but it was not the correct injector. The part number is: 652312-612E. You should see 612E stamped on two sides of the injector.
I have attached a picture of the part from a Continental bulletin. It's the injector on the left with 2 grooves for o-rings in the picture. We only use 1 o-ring!!!
