Two items come to mind on this subject:
1. How long are you in an uncoordinated (slipping) attitude? I usually fly my approaches in a crab, "kicking out" into a slip over the numbers. That means that my time in a slip is a few seconds at most.
2. The Lancair supplied winglet only raises the vent by a few inches. Is there a way to maximize this elevation? I'm thinking of my Eagle supplied winglets that raise the vent over a foot.
