If your engine is running 8.5 to 1 compression ratio then your peak TIT is likely around 1625 degF and therefore a TIT of 1550 degF while LOP would be about
right. The stock TSIO550 has a 7.3 to 1 compression ratio and a TIT of 1650 degF is about right while LOP. I ran my 550 turbo normalized Bonanza LOP at a TIT of 1520 to 1550 all the time. It had 8.5 to 1 compression ratio.

I notice that your TITs are pretty high. I've always been told to keep them under 1550... perhaps I was misled. Any comments from the community on this?
