a little trick when flying bare foot in someone else's plane:
Set take off flaps to the max deflection of the aileron. This
will match the max lift and lowish drag of the aileron for the
takeoff flap. It will be quite a bit if there flower hinge or
any surface increasing flap design, to a tiny bit to none at all
in a simple flap design.

The IV and Legacy both have a flower designs (slot or hinge) making
it well worth your wild.
