I am looking for information on a O-235 and fixed pitch prop (climb or cruise) and it would be nice to get the #'s on a 320 also.
What I am really looking for is if I can safely fly it out of my 3200' grass strip on a 4000' long hay field at 85' MSL in south Georgia. Before everyone yells "NO WAY", I have flown a Lancair 4P-T (walter) in and out of here around 12 times in the last 6 years for maintenance. (N753M, it was just sold by it's owner and I miss it). My grass strip is extremely smooth and well cared for. We are building a second runway which will be 3800' long, 200' wide on a 4000' field and will be better than the old one. Yes it is tight with the 4P but I did not have to use any beta to stop. My go-no go point is about 200' agl up the glide path. If I am not on speed, altitude and sink rate it's a go around before I descend below the trees.
I like the 235 because of the economy (buying and operating) but my son will be flying it some and I want more margin of safety than with the 4P in and out of here.
Thanks everyone,
Swaid

Hi, Does anyone have the real performance numbers for a Lancair 235. Take off and landing distances and climb performance.
Thanks,
Swaid
