The plugs on the aft side would not turn all the way on and reach their detent. Mark Mahnke had told me to relieve the firewall holes under the blanket to get a proper fit. I removed the TBF fittings and cut short diagonal slices thru the blanket in order to remove the fittings. The holes, on inspection, had rough edges and the right most hole has an extra bid or two of glass over half the hole. I deburred the aft side of all holes and hit the right one with a high speed sanding disc. After reassembly all is well. Good fix.
